A leading gold producer in Canada is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee construction activities for the Great Bear Project near Red Lake, Ontario. The successful candidate will have over 20 years of construction management experience, including at least 10 years as a construction manager in mining or heavy industrial projects. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage a diverse team. Full site rotations are expected to begin in Q2 2027.

Great Bear Project
In March 2022 Kinross acquired Great Bear Resources and its flagship Great Bear project (GBR), located near Red Lake, Ontario. The Great Bear property is a greenfield, large-scale deposit with the potential for significant open pit and underground operations. In early 2025, the project moved into the detailed engineering and major equipment procurement phase. The Preliminary Economic Assessment released in September 2024 indicated a total initial project capital of $1.4B USD.
Reporting to the VP & Project Director, the Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the completion of the Advanced Exploration construction activities and for the preparation and execution of all construction activities for the Great Bear Main Project safely, on time, and on budget. The Project will be executed using an Owner’s Project Team model. The incumbent will work closely and effectively with all GBR departments, including Health and Safety, Environment, External Affairs, Project Controls, Engineering, and Operations, to ensure that the overall Project objectives are met. It is expected that this position will directly manage a team of approximately 60 people, who will oversee approximately 40 - 50 construction contracts during the Main Project construction phase.
This position is initially based out of Toronto, with periodic rotations to site. Full site rotations are expected to begin in Q2 2027.
