Job summary

BUILD IT is seeking a Construction Manager to direct and coordinate all active sites, report to the Director of Construction, and lead site supervisors, field staff, and trades to deliver projects safely, on time, and on budget.

You’ll plan activity, manage budgets, and ensure quality while enforcing health & safety standards and using Procore for project documentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience.
• 3+ years managing multiple sites or leading site supervisors.
• Proven track record delivering interior and/or ground-up projects on time and on budget.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and cost control.
• Experience selecting and managing subcontractors and pricing change orders.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and COR program experience.
• Proficiency with Procore and MS Office or Google Workspace.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation for site visits.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Run regular site visits to inspect, monitor, and document progress.
• Ensure site supervisors use Procore to log project information, drawings, and documentation.
• Report progress, risks, and changes to the Director of Construction, clients, and project team.
• Resolve site issues and disputes with trades, clients, and suppliers quickly and professionally.

The Role

As Construction Manager, you’ll direct and coordinate every active BUILD IT site. What we’re looking for

• Strong working knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements and site safety programs.
• Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation for regular site visits.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Nice to have

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Experience working within a COR‑certified safety program.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, workspace, or health and wellness fit‑outs.

Compensation & benefits

• Base annual salary range: $100,000–$120,000 per year.
