Job summary

KOHINOOR DEVELOPMENT LTD. based in Vancouver, BC is seeking a General construction labourer to join their crew. The role requires self-motivation, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to start work soon.

You will perform site tasks including feeding machinery, handling materials, leveling earth, assisting operators, and supporting demolition and framing work. Full-time, permanent position with day to evening shifts; English fluency and a high school diploma are expected.

Qualifications

• English fluency is required.
• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to 7 months of experience in a related field.
• Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• Good interpersonal skills and reliability.
• Flexible and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps.
• Remove rubble and debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment.
• Mix, pour, and spread material such as concrete and asphalt.
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.
• Assist heavy equipment operators.
• Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools.
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs.
• Clean and pile salvaged materials.
• Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
