Qualifications

The Construction Labourer supports a wide range of tasks on active construction sites, including concrete work, chipping, hammering, forming, stripping, and other manual labour activities as needed to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

• Perform general construction labour tasks as directed, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials around the site.
• Carry out concrete-related work such as chipping, forming, stripping, jackhammering, and manual finishing tasks.
• Use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively for construction activities.
• Assist with carpentry-related tasks, including working with formwork and other structural elements.
• Support concrete finishing activities, ensuring surfaces are prepared and finished to required standards.
• Handle rebar and participate in process work related to concrete structures and assemblies.
• Assist with pipe and valve work as required on the project.
• Work in and around water treatment facilities when needed, following site-specific procedures and safety requirements.
• Perform duties at heights and within formwork concrete areas while adhering strictly to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with a team of 10-20 workers, communicating clearly and following instructions from site supervisors.

Essential Skills

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.15/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
