Job description

Douglas Homes, a large volume home builder in Calgary and surrounding areas, is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Labourer. If you have experience in the construction industry and have a dedication for delivering high-quality results, we invite you to apply for this position.

Job Summary

In this role, you will work closely with the construction team and will support the construction of high-quality homes in various communities, including Airdrie, Chestermere, and Cochrane. You will assist with general construction duties, support the Douglas Homes field team, maintain a clean and safe worksite, ensuring that our homes meet the exceptional standards Douglas Homes is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with general site duties – shoveling, sweeping, cleaning, moving lumber, small framing fixes and providing safe access to homes.

Support the Douglas field team with responsibilities as necessary

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, reporting any issues or hazards to the site superintendent or foreman

Operate basic hand and power tools.

Transport materials and equipment to various job sites as required.

Help maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Help with any other general site responsibilities as delegated by construction team.

Qualifications:

Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.

Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
