Job summary

The Job Resource Centre is seeking a glazing assistant to help install glass, windows, and doors on commercial and residential projects in the Bow Valley region. Training is provided with a pathway to apprentice for a Red Seal certificate, developing glazing and basic carpentry skills on the job.

Successful candidates will gain practical construction experience, access to PPE, and a safety-focused work environment while progressing toward skilled trades qualifications.

Qualifications

Basic math skills and problem solving required.
Be organized and keep work areas clean and safe.
Able to work from ladders and occasional scaffolding.
Own hand and cordless tools are beneficial.
Construction experience is beneficial.
General PPE provided and required.

Responsibilities

Assist with and install glass, windows, and doors on commercial and residential projects.
Learn glazing and carpentry skills through on-the-job training.
