Construction Journeyman Plumber

Ashton Mechanical Group is growing! We are currently hiring for Journeyman Plumbers to join our team! We are looking for candidates who are able to commute to Agassiz daily or are willing to stay at a company provided accommodation in Squamish during the work week with a per diem stipend.

• Our Commercial Team has service contracts with over 300 buildings and complete service, maintenance, replacement, and installation work year-round
• Our Residential Team services homes throughout the Lower Mainland, completing around 10,000 service calls and 600 installations per year

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
• Measure, cut, thread, bend pipes as required
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system

Qualifications and Requirements

• Red Seal Plumbing Certificate is required
• Proficient knowledge of construction site processes, especially large institutional new construction
• Good general knowledge of all Plumbing and Heating including knowledge of the most recent BC Plumbing Code
• Possess a clean driving record and valid Driver’s License and can pass a criminal record check
• Able to commute to Squamish daily or willing to stay at a company provided accommodation during the work week with a per diem stipend

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Experience:

• Plumbing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Red Seal Plumbing Ticket (preferred)
• Canadian Residency or Valid Canadian Work Permit (required)
