Duties, Responsibilities & Other

• This position involves inspection on active roadway and bridge construction projects, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting construction progress, inspection, and testing results.
• Record keeping, measuring field quantities, conducting tests to ensure contractor compliance with specifications.
• Previous experience on NCDOT road and bridge projects is preferred.
• Active NCDOT QMS Asphalt Roadway, Concrete, and Density certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 6+ years of inspection experience on NCDOT projects preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
• 4-8 years of relevant experience.
• Pre-employment drug screening required; background and motor vehicle checks may be necessary.

Performance Expectations

• Accurate daily reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Proactive problem resolution, adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Complete and review work thoroughly before submission.
• Timely submission of timesheets, mileage, and expense reports.
• Daily jobsite safety reviews and immediate issue resolution.
• Compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
• Maintain certifications and participate in required training.
• Perform tasks according to industry standards and client requirements.
