Job summary

Virdi Construction Ltd based in Port Coquitlam, BC invites applications for a Construction helper to join our team as a permanent, full-time role. The position offers $26.50 hourly for 30–40 hours per week and requires strong English communication.

Responsibilities include loading materials, erecting forms, assisting operators, and supporting various site tasks from framing to paving. Start date is as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
• Mix, pour, and spread materials.
• Assist heavy equipment operators.
• Assist in pipe alignment during pipeline construction.
• Help with rock drilling and blasting on construction sites.
• Help with house framing, wall construction, and roof construction.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications.
• Pave and rake asphalt.
• Assist in the demolition of buildings.
• Clean and stack salvaged materials.
• Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
• Tend or feed construction machines or equipment.
• Direct traffic near construction sites.
