Job summary

888 Construction seeks a construction laborer to work on-site in Edmonton. The role involves loading and unloading materials, performing pre-operational checks, and assisting with forming, pouring and finishing concrete and asphalt.

You will help level ground, manage debris and support equipment on a busy construction site. The position is physically demanding, outdoors, and requires the ability to work under pressure in a noisy, dusty environment.

Qualifications

• No degree required; on-site training provided.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• On-site work only; no remote option.
• Outdoor, dusty and noisy site conditions are expected.
• Physical tasks include lifting up to 23 kg.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials
• Perform pre-operational inspection
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Level earth to fine grade specifications
• Clean and pile salvaged materials
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites
