Job description

Since 2012, our commitment has shifted to invest in development projects across the Greater Toronto Area. We work hard to maintain high-quality, dynamic relationships with all our stakeholders. It is our company’s commitment to continue supporting our collaborators and preserving life-long relations to strive for success.

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Construction General Labourer who has the ability to work on-site and complete tasks on time. This role requires flexibility, as you will be assigned to various construction sites across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, depending on project needs.

You will be responsible for assisting in various tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient progress of our projects. Your contributions will directly impact the success and safety of our worksites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Preparation and Cleanup: Assist in site setup and teardown, including debris clearance, barricade setup, and marking work areas. Install signage and health and safety information as needed. Ensure the site is clean and organized after construction, including tool and equipment removal and waste disposal.
  • Material Handling: Safely transport construction materials and tools to and from the site. Distribute materials efficiently to the construction team. Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment such as wheelbarrows, forklifts, bobcats, and tools safely and competently.
  • Site Maintenance: Keep the construction site clean and orderly throughout the project, including debris removal and regular sweeping.
  • Assisting the Team: Provide support to construction workers and trades as needed, including tasks like concrete mixing, trench digging, and material handling during installations.
  • Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow local and federal regulations regarding construction site practices, environmental guidelines, and waste disposal.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with the construction team and promptly report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
  • Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle to travel to different job sites across the GTA.
  • Comfort working in a physically demanding, high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations.
