Job summary

Rego Construction Group is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead and coordinate crews on Ottawa-area sites. You will organize labour, equipment and materials, read drawings, and ensure safety standards are followed.

Responsibilities include daily site leadership, communicating with project managers, and delivering projects on schedule while maintaining quality. Must have foreman or supervisory construction experience and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Prior foreman or supervisory experience in construction.
• Ability to lead crews and coordinate daily site activities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Position Overview

Are you a versatile “Jack” or “Jill” of all trades who thrives in an ever-changing environment? Do you take pride in your work and enjoy leading a team through new challenges? Rego Construction is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Construction Foreman to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate construction crews, assign tasks, and oversee daily site operations
• Organize labour, equipment, and materials to keep work progressing according to project schedules
• Perform various physical duties and provide hands‑on guidance to team members as needed
• Operate and/or supervise the use of heavy equipment such as skid steers and mini excavators
• Ensure motorized power tools and hand tools are used safely and effectively, including but not limited to: quick cut, Sawzall, grinder, drill, hammer, rake, shovel, etc.
• Maintain and enforce all safety standards
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Monitor work quality and ensure tasks meet project requirements
• Work collaboratively with project managers and team members to achieve project goals
• Communicate deficiencies, progress, and delays to project managers and help find effective solutions
• Maintain cleanliness of tools and job sites

Requirements

• Clean criminal record. Secret security clearance required, with the application process coordinated by the company
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Previous experience in a foreman or supervisory role in construction
• Experience with power and hand tools
• Ability to lead crews, assign tasks, and coordinate daily site activities
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of construction site safety standards and safe equipment operation
• Physically fit, with the ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
• Willingness to work long hours as needed
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience with skid steers and mini excavators is an asset
• Experience with cutting torches and concrete work is an asset
• AZ/AR/DZ drivers are an asset
