Our client, a well-established mid-sized General Contractor based in Nashville, TN, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator . This individual will play a key role in the preconstruction phase by preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for multi-million dollar commercial and industrial construction projects throughout Middle Tennessee and the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid proposals for multi-million dollar commercial and industrial projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to produce accurate estimates
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and material suppliers
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and job walk-throughs
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies
• Collaborate with the preconstruction and project management teams to ensure seamless handoff of awarded projects
• Maintain historical cost data and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assist with preliminary scheduling and construction logistics during the estimating phase

Qualifications :

Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial and / or industrial construction estimating

Proven ability to estimate multi-million dollar projects

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes

Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail

Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans and specifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
