Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking a Construction Estimator to develop detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing from plans and specs.

You will review drawings, solicit quotations, and collaborate with project teams to prepare competitive bids. The role requires 2–3+ years in construction estimating, proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in construction estimating.
• Able to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in estimating software and digital takeoff tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word).
• Strong analytical and numerical problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.

Mandatory

• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Valid driver's licence
