Business Development Manager - Reporting to Chief Commercial Manager

Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Manager (CCM) Canada , we are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to support our commercial initiatives and strategic growth in Canada. the successful candidate will play a key role in :

  • Identifying business opportunities
  • Contributing to the preparation of project bids

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Opportunity Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth research on potential projects
  • Provide valuable insights to the CCM Canada based on assigned priorities

Partnership Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and propose potential partners (suppliers, subcontractors, specialists)
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager and headquarters to enhance project qualifications

Negotiation & Agreement Support

  • Assist the CCM Canada in partner negotiations
  • Ensure alignment with the company’s business development strategy

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Participate in project presentations and coordination meetings
  • Engage with partners, co-contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers across Canada and internationally

Site Assessments

  • Conduct visits to assess project feasibility, challenges, and opportunities at a national level

Bid Coordination

  • Support bid preparation by collaborating with internal teams
  • Attend coordination meetings and contribute to technical and financial bid submissions

Document & Process Management

  • Maintain an organized record of agreements, pre-qualification applications, and submitted proposals

Internal Coordination

  • Monitor approvals from corporate departments
  • Coordinate partner activities for ongoing studies and tenders

Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks as required to support business development initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering, construction, or a related industry
  • Language Skills : Fully bilingual in French and English (written and spoken)
  • Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of civil engineering projects, procurement processes, and business development strategies
  • Analytical & Negotiation Skills : Ability to analyze market data, evaluate partnerships, and support contract negotiations effectively
  • Communication & Collaboration : Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and coordinate with stakeholders
  • Flexibility & Mobility : Willingness to travel across Canada and internationally as required
