Job summary

Fox Electric Canada Inc. is seeking a licensed electrician to install and repair electrical controls, panels, underground wiring, and power systems at various sites across British Columbia.

The role requires reading blueprints, maintaining records, and ensuring safety in outdoor, high-altitude, and confined-space environments. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of relevant experience, explicit Electrician Trade Certification, and strong communication skills to interact with customers and team

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of electrical installation experience.
• Valid Electrician Trade Certification is required.
• Secondary school graduation certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical controls and panel boxes.
• Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
• Install underground wiring and cables.
• Test voltage, loads and circuit integrity.
• Commission systems and components.
• Maintain maintenance reports and documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

TASKS

• Install electrical controls and panel boxes
• Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
• Professionalism in customer service
• Install underground wiring and cables
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations
• Splice, join and connect wires
• Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
• Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults
• Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
• Install power generation, stand-by power generation and power conditioning systems
• Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs
• Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• Commission systems and components
