Our Distribution team aims to be the leader in client engagement among Canadian Insurers, providing a seamless and personalized client experience. Our knowledgeable and trusted team is committed to delivering financial services solutions tailored to our clients' needs.

The Associate Insurance Advisor I plays a key role in supporting and developing the agency operation, primarily through the sales and service of Co-operators personal lines products (auto and home insurance). They may also provide basic support for additional product lines.

How you will create impact:
  • Sell, service, and promote profitable growth of personal lines insurance products.
  • Advise clients on coverages and policies that best meet their needs.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and recommend additional products/services that benefit clients.
  • Perform front-line risk assessments and select appropriate policies following underwriting guidelines.
  • Determine which risks require inspections and re-inspections; may be required to complete inspections.
  • Achieve individual goals related to client service, sales, quality, and productivity.
  • Support programs aimed at building multi-client relationships.
  • Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve complaints, and escalate issues when necessary.

To join our team:
  • Obtain a General Insurance License within two months if not already licensed.
  • Meet provincial licensing requirements, including continuing education, to maintain licenses.
  • Preferably have at least one year of sales and service experience or related business experience.
  • Knowledge of auto and property insurance products and selling techniques is an asset.
What you need to know:
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients’ financial and personal information.
  • This role involves direct contact with clients and service providers in their environment.
  • You may need your own vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Undergo a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment if selected.
