Job description

Confined Space Rescue Technician

Location: Drayton Valley, Alberta

Position Type: Temporary

Wage/Salary Range: $275 – $300 per day, based on experience and certifications

Shift Schedule: Travel day June 22; work schedule will follow based on project requirements

Hours Per Day: 12 hours per day

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Confined Space Rescue Technician to join our Valued Clients team in Drayton Valley, Alberta. This is a temporary position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide standby rescue services for confined space entries

  • Monitor atmospheric conditions and perform hazard assessments

  • Operate and inspect rescue equipment and PPE

  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and protocols

Qualifications:

  • Must have valid Confined Space Rescue certification

  • H2S Alive certification

  • Fall Protection certification

  • Standard First Aid with CPR certification

  • Confined Space Entry & Rescue certification

  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification

  • WHMIS certification

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working on industrial shutdowns or turnaround projects

  • Rope Rescue or NFPA certifications

Work Environment:

  • Industrial settings including confined spaces, varying weather conditions, and long shifts

  • Requires use of specialized safety and rescue equipment
