Conference and Events Coordinator (Part-time)

Ambrose University is seeking a Part-time Conference and Events Coordinator to plan and execute internal and external conferences and events on campus. This role involves managing reservations, coordinating logistics, and serving as the main point of contact for event-related matters.

Position Details:

  • Hours: 25 hours per week
  • Start Date: August 2025

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support for reservations, accommodations, food service, security, parking, and technical A/V support.
  • Managing reservation requests using specialized event management software.
  • Serving as the primary contact for conference and event inquiries.
  • Following up on outstanding accounts and receivables.
  • Planning and managing internal events, including decor and visual presentation.
  • Proactively seeking rental opportunities through market research and outreach.
  • Ensuring effective communication within the Campus Services department and with other departments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; event planning education preferred.
  • Experience in an office environment is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
