Job description

We are currently looking for a full-time Property Accountant for our Condominium properties to join our exciting team of dynamic professionals in our growing organization. If you are a highly motivated, dynamic, proactive team player seeking a challenging position, work well with minimal supervision, meet deadlines successfully and effectively multi-task, we would like to hear from you!

Applicants must be available to work on-site at our head office. Upon successfully completing the 3-month probationary period, there may be an option to work remotely one day per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete bank reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Prepare various internal reports/financial statements for Property Managers
  • Review and verify invoices through LeapAP
  • Enter budgets into accounting software
  • Prepare balance sheets, account reconciliations and addressing any disputes
  • Successfully coordinate the integration of new properties into the accounting workflow
  • Provide financial advice to your property managers and general manager within your portfolio
  • File quarterly government remittance slips
  • Merge and file all monthly financial statement packages within the company's online portal.
  • Required to meet tight deadlines per the requirements of your portfolio
  • Reporting and maintenance a portfolio of 20-25 properties
  • Work directly with auditors for year-end Audits

Specifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of progressive property accounting experience
  • Post-secondary education in accounting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, able to use pivot tables and complex financial formulas
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Possess strong financial, analytical, problem solving and customer service skills
