Job summary

Reporting to the Program Director of Media Arts, the instructor will guide students through concurrency concepts, parallel patterns, and performance optimization on multi-core systems, including game engines and real-time applications.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Game Programming, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software development involving concurrency.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency and parallel programming concepts.
• Proficiency in C++ and concurrency libraries.
• Experience developing for real-time systems or games.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to learners.

Responsibilities

• Teach Concurrency and Parallel Processing courses following outlines and outcomes.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, labs, and project-based activities.
• Create an inclusive learning environment for diverse learners.
• Guide students in multi-threaded programs and synchronization.
• Provide structured feedback on assignments and projects.
• Model professional software development practices and version control workflows.
• Uphold academic policies and timely grading and records.
• Communicate effectively with students via approved platforms.
• Demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence and ongoing professional development.
• Mentor students through debugging and optimization of concurrent systems.
