Purpose of the role

To work closely with team members in producing concrete in a safe, clean environment and to ensure the highest level of customer service. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness of yard, plant, and facilities to create a positive first impression.

Key Accountabilities
  • Coordinate with the Order Office, plant staff, and customers to ensure that concrete/mortar production meets customer requirements, maintaining optimal output, quality, and standards as per procedures and technical instructions.
  • Regularly inspect and perform routine maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning of plant areas, buildings, and facilities.
  • Manage waste disposal, water discharges, and dust emissions in accordance with environmental procedures.
  • Ensure sufficient materials are available for production demands.
  • Conduct visual stock checks of incoming materials weekly.
  • Enforce safety instructions for all employees, contractors, and visitors at the plant.
  • Optimize work methods and plant utilization through ongoing review and appraisal.
  • Comply with all relevant trade practices laws and company policies, including health, safety, environment, and quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections, report defects, and record actions taken.
  • Operate batching plant and FEL equipment to company standards, maintaining site presentation and cleanliness.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure plant is stocked with approved materials.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management to support operational efficiency.
Education/Qualifications
  • GCSE grade 4+ or equivalent in Math and English.
