Job description

Join Our Team at Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc! We’re looking for experienced seasonal Concrete Labourers to join our team and support a variety of civil construction projects in the Edmonton area. Apply online! NO WALK IN RESUMES ACCEPTED.

Your daily tasks will involve physical labour and teamwork, and you’ll have the chance to operate various hand and power tools. We're seeking individuals who are safety-conscious and ready to roll up their sleeves. Working hours are 10-12 hours per day, Monday through Saturday, with responsibilities such as:

What You'll Be Doing
  • Perform all aspects of concrete work, including placing, leveling, finishing, and curing.
  • Assist with form setting and removal (wood and metal forms).
  • Operate power tools and hand tools related to concrete work.
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete materials.
  • Ensure proper surface preparation before concrete placement.
  • Support the crew with general labour tasks as needed.
  • Clean and maintain work areas and tools.
  • Follow safety protocols and support a culture of safety within the team.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on concrete labour experience (commercial or civil construction preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of concrete mixing, finishing, and curing processes.
  • Experience with concrete tools, equipment, and formwork.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds; physical stamina is essential.
  • Minimum Class 5 driver’s license and personal vehicle (public transportation is not available).
  • Exceptional communication skills, fluency in English.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety protocols; CSTS 2020 certification is mandatory (may be provided).
  • Own CSA approved steel-toed boots and a mobile smartphone.
