Concrete General Labourer

Location of job: 5025 13 Street SE, Calgary AB and 7100 42 Street, Leduc

Job summary:

CanWest Calgary and Leduc locations are looking for skilled general laborers for the season with several opportunities to work all year round. No training required for these positions – All training will be provided for the right candidates. CanWest has trained a lot of the leading concrete cutting professionals for 40+ years in Alberta, and this is a great position to work towards building a cutting edge career in industry.

The ideal candidate will be punctual, positive and have a great team attitude! Candidates with a background in concrete demolition, operating saws, framing, or other related construction jobs would be perfect for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Train with an experienced saw operator
2. Operate slurry vacuums
3. Clean and help maintain a unit as well as various job sites
4. Learn to safely operate various equipment
5. Drive safely to and from locations

Qualifications:

1. Good with measurements
2. Has a valid Class 5 Drivers license
3. Can follow instructions and work in a professional environment
4. Can lift 50 lbs
5. Positive team attitude
6. Willingness to learn
7. Must know enough English to complete comprehensive safety training program

Hours: Monday to Friday, Evenings/Weekends, Shift, Permanent Full-time

Wage/ Salary: $20-28 per Hour
