Job summary

AKAL PAVING AND CONSTRUCTION LTD is seeking a concrete finisher for permanent, full-time work at Mono, Ontario sites. The role is on-site with outdoor conditions and requires basic educational credentials and English proficiency.

You will operate finishing tools, verify formwork, interpret blueprints, and help produce durable concrete surfaces across various locations. This position offers 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate required.
• 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
• On-site work at physical locations.
• Must speak English.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials.
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
