JOB OVERVIEW

The Concierge is often the initial contact and first impression that many people have of Sunrise Senior Living. The Concierge is responsible for greeting potential residents, families, and visitors, managing both external and internal calls, and taking and communicating messages. The Concierge provides an overview of community information to those inquiries in support of the Director of Sales (DOS) and Executive Director (ED). Responsible for assisting the Business Office Coordinator (BOC)/HR Designee in the community recruitment process, computer data entry, and other assigned general administrative duties, as well as monitoring the Bistro area for refreshments, cleanliness, and music to ensure a pleasant atmosphere.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Customer Service
  • Oversee the community entry area, greet visitors and residents warmly, offer beverages, and ensure safety protocols are in place.
  • Coordinate with DOS, ED, or Department Coordinator to meet prospective residents, families, or visitors, minimizing wait times.
  • Greet potential candidates interested in Sunrise careers, direct them to apply online or capture their information for recruitment.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly, take messages, and relay them accurately.
  • Provide community overviews, manage appointments, and send get well or sympathy cards as appropriate.
Sales and Marketing
  • Order flowers and name plates for new residents, prepare move-in guest meals, and maintain marketing materials.
  • Support the DOS with lead tracking and administrative tasks related to resident move-ins.
Front Desk and Bistro Areas
  • Maintain a neat and organized desk, ensure the Bistro is clean and stocked, and keep music playing throughout the day.
  • Ensure coverage at the front desk when stepping away.
Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, practice safety procedures, and maintain emergency rosters.
  • Partner with the team to promote safety and respond to emergencies as per policies.
  • Manage guest and resident sign-in/out procedures and maintain high-risk elopement lists.
Administrative
  • Update various rosters and logs daily, prepare meal tickets, organize mail, and maintain resident forms.
  • Assist with recruitment data entry and monitor office supplies.
Training and Team Contribution
  • Participate actively in team efforts, attend meetings, and complete required training.
  • Contribute to engagement initiatives and support team goals.
Core Competencies
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and organize well.
  • Maintain accurate records, exercise good judgment, and solve problems efficiently.
Experience and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications.
  • Driver’s license and safe driving record if applicable.
