Job summary

A senior living community in Belleville, Ontario, is seeking a Concierge to serve as the first point of contact for residents and visitors. The role requires excellent communication skills and a positive attitude, with responsibilities including responding to inquiries and providing clerical support. Preferred candidates will have customer service experience and proficiency in MS Office. This is a full-time position with shifts primarily from 8am to 4pm or 4pm to 8pm, including weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description
Overview

The Concierge is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents and ignites.

Preferred casual, shifts 8am-4pm or 4pm-8pm; weekend availability is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to all resident and visitor inquiries as the first point of contact, in a diplomatic manner, using problem solving and complaint resolution skills, and ensure all complaints are forwarded to the General Manager in writing.
  • Promote excellent customer service in all personal interactions with visitors, families, residents and team members.
  • Greet all visitors to the building, address their needs in a pleasant and unhurried fashion, and conduct mini tours in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Provide clerical and computer support to all managers as requested.
  • Complete required records to support cash transactions related to the sale of guest and team member meal vouchers/tickets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Must Haves
  • Completion of grade 12 education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and proven customer service skills through related work experience.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check. Applicable to Ontario applicants.
  • As part of legislative requirements, all successful candidates must meet the provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.

  • Additional applied courses i.e. office administration preferred.
