Job description

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Our motive is to develop innovative action games set in iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero. Let's say that again—iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero. Our passion has taken us from imagining dogfighter pilots in Star Wars: Squadrons to re-creating Isaac Clarke onboard the Ishimura in Dead Space.

Currently, we're working on two exciting projects, an original Iron Man action-adventure game and what's coming next for Battlefield.
We believe in sharing our passion with our community and each other, fostering an inclusive culture, and nurturing a growth mindset.
Although our approach may seem simple, it leads us to create the best work of our careers, bringing unique and immersive experiences to our players.

Join Motive as a Senior Gameplay Designer specializing in Systems and Multiplayer for an exciting new Battlefield project. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with gameplay leadership to design innovative systems for upcoming game content. As part of a talented team of Gameplay Designers reporting to the Game Director, you'll contribute to shaping the future of one of the industry's most iconic franchises.

Responsibilities:

  • Create features and content for Systems, progression and multiplayer modes.
  • Write design documents and plan execution on features to support the Creative Director's vision.
  • Create understanding and enthusiasm for designs by presenting them, explaining them in different forms, and taking feedback from the team.
  • Lead the creation of prototypes to explore and resolve design challenges.
  • Implement and polish new features and content using our proprietary tools and visual scripting.
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative data, including playtests and analytics, to refine and enhance designs.
  • Offer insightful and constructive feedback to fellow designers.

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of design experience in the video game industry.
  • Significant design contributions on at least two shipped titles.
  • Proven ability to write detailed design documents for features or content.
  • Hands-on experience with game engines for design implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of current trends in action and shooter games, with the ability to apply these insights effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of online multiplayer games and their design intricacies.
  • A player-focused approach to design.
