Mechanical Designer - Space Industry

Location: Kirkland, QC

Summary: The main function of a mechanical designer is to research and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. A typical mechanical designer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices.
• Perform testing of subsystems, assemblies, and components, including design of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to the maintenance crew.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
• Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

• Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD).

Requirements:

• 3-8 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
• NX is a strong asset but not a must.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
