  • Preparing mechanical portion of quotes requested by the Aftermarket team.
  • Evaluate machinery parts applications and research machinery drawings and bills of materials as necessary to provide answers.
  • Issuing precise functionality evaluations, feasibility projections as well as optimal costs estimates of required elements for potential projects.
  • Designing mechanical elements in 2D and 3D and draft adaptation parts to standard products.
  • Effectively promote aftermarket machine parts/kits/upgrades by analyzing customer’s existing machinery and potential needs.
  • Communicating with suppliers on adaptation and design projects.
  • Evaluating the feasibility and costs of requests placed by the Aftermarket department (adding options on sold equipment, adaptation parts, etc.).
  • Ensuring proper communication on project updates to all stakeholders.
  • Developing tools to accelerate evaluation and execution of regular projects.
  • Developing standard mechanical options or requiring parametrization.
  • Providing technical support to production on assigned projects.

Who we’re looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or college diploma with relevant experience.
  • 2 to 6 years’ experience in designing and manufacturing of automated machinery and equipment, ideally in the packaging industry.
  • Good knowledge of Inventor and Autocad.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical components as well as manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Meticulous, detail oriented, able to manage priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Bilingual (French and English - written and spoken).
