Job description

• Tasks

The A.7 Programmer/Analyst (Level 2) must perform the following tasks in support of EWCMS:

• Provide technical support to the DND/CAF EWCMS. Perform daily support, maintenance and related activities such as problem analysis, troubleshooting programming and testing, in order to ensure all aspects of the existing technology, solutions are integrated and function properly.

• Perform technical migration and upgrades to the various components of the EWCMS.

• Develop and maintain migration and upgrade scripts.

• Provide the installation and configuration of EWCMS application and its servers’ licenses on the host servers.

• Design, develop, test, maintain and implement web-based applications as directed by the Technical Authority.

• Provide the level of complexity and level of effort required for development work.

• Provide software development advice during project status update meetings, technical working group sessions, or at any time at the request of the Technical Authority. The advice must be in the form of: presentations, briefings, documentation, training or coaching; and
• Responding to queries and requests from clients

Additional mandatory criteria

M1	Must clearly demonstrate 5 years’ experience within the past 10 years in supporting and developing web applications and integration of Web API’s. Some of technologies required for the web applications include but are not limited to: Java, JavaScript, JavaScript Framework (React or other), HTML5, CSS, REST API, JSON, Azure DevOps or GIT, Web Server (Tomcat, Apache or IIS).
M2	Must demonstrate 1 experience, within the past 3 years, working for the Department of National Defence (DND) or any Government of Canada (GoC) department/agency/crown corporation or provincial government or private sector organizations or agency preparing, and documenting Enterprise web applications environment including Web API’s.
