Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW

The Mathematician / Computer Scientist must possess advanced knowledge of mathematics, technical gaming standards, and various gaming platforms. This role requires familiarity with BMM Testlabs’ policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The primary responsibility is to ensure the mathematical integrity of gaming technologies through analysis of source code and mathematical evaluation. Responsibilities include developing mathematical models, collaborating with global teams, and staying updated on industry trends to improve testing methodologies.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Mathematician / Computer Scientist will:

  • Perform mathematical analysis of models to ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
  • Evaluate mathematical models for various gaming formats, including card games, bingo, lottery, and reel-based games.
  • Assess mathematical algorithms for fairness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop custom simulators and brute-force calculators for math evaluations.
  • Create tools for evaluating Random Number Generators (RNG).
  • Conduct statistical and empirical testing of software and hardware RNGs.
  • Modify and extend in-house math and RNG evaluation tools.
  • Review source code of RNGs, games, and systems for compliance.
  • Verify software for RNGs and applications.
  • Provide consultation on mathematical implementations for regulated markets.
  • Analyze test results and prepare certification reports.
  • Offer technical support and training to team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Over 3 years of experience in math design, testing, or delivery in gaming.
  • Deep knowledge of mathematical and statistical modeling, probability, and combinatorics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, or Java.
  • Experience with Windows, Unix, and Linux systems.
  • Experience with mathematical testing in gaming industry.
  • Understanding of programming concepts and gaming regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
