Job summary

Brockville General Hospital is seeking a General Radiology/CT Technologist to join Diagnostic Imaging. You will provide safe, high-quality care, operate CT equipment, and uphold department policies while participating in safety and quality initiatives.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiology program, CMRT registration, CPR, and CAMRT CT courses, with venipuncture/contrast injection skills. Strong communication and teamwork preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited training program in Radiological Technology.
• Current registration with CMRTIO and knowledge of Standards of Practice.
• CPR certification maintained throughout employment.
• CAMRT CT Imaging courses completed and ability to obtain certification.

Position Summary:

The Technologist in General Radiology and Computed Tomography recognizes safety as a priority for Diagnostic Imaging Services, as each of us plays an integral part to building a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiovascular Services and under the supervision of the Charge Technologists, the General Radiology and Computed Tomography Technologist will be responsible for (a) providing safe, quality care and services to our patients; (b) upholding all policies and procedures of the department and the organization; (c) maintaining the safe operation of equipment; and, (d) participating in quality and safety initiatives.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited training program in Radiological Technology
• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
• Knowledge of clinical CMRITO Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
• Must show evidence of clinical competence through continuing education
• Current CPR Certification and maintained throughout employment
• Successful completion of CAMRT's CT Imaging 1, 2, 3 courses and ability to obtain certification
• Competent in venipuncture and contrast media injections
• Completion of cross sectional anatomy courses
• Work independently performing CT's
