We are looking for a safety and quality-oriented technician to join our compounding team.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Effectively process batches within specifications to meet department batch execution targets by ensuring optimal cycle time in support of schedule adherence.
- Dismantle, clean, sanitize, and assemble processing equipment according to established SODs to ensure GMP compliance and meet department changeover targets in support of reliability and productivity goals.
- Compound various batches, including aqueous-based products, O/W, W/O, and anhydrous products, following SOPs and Master Formulas.
- Check all pre-weighed raw materials and dispense raw materials safely when required.
- Operate various equipment, including fully and semi-automatic kettles, pumps, agitators, hoists, and scales. Perform calibration checks for scales, gauges, and mixers.
- Collect representative samples of product batches and coordinate with R&D to ensure finished products meet standards.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of batching kettles according to SOPs.
- Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE (respirators, face shields, eyeglasses, etc.), and report any workplace injuries or accidents.
- Complete documentation such as batch records, C & S logs, housekeeping logs, and other required documents accurately the first time.
- Maintain general housekeeping of the compounding area, including proper storage of pipes, hoses, clamps, gaskets, and equipment.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Ability to work while wearing a mask or respirator when needed.
- Strong English communication and math skills (addition, subtraction, division, fractions).
- Ability to actively listen and receive coaching. Must learn and adhere to GMP compliance requirements.
- Multitasking skills and ability to focus on priorities as directed by the supervisor.
- Attention to detail and working knowledge of WHMIS.
