Job summary

DECIEM is seeking a Compounding Technician for our Etobicoke facility to process batches in a GMP environment. This full-time role focuses on accurate weighing, batching, and equipment sanitization in a fast-paced cosmetics manufacturing setting.

The position offers $21.50–$23.00 per hour, a hybrid perks package and benefits, plus career development opportunities. Strong English, math skills, and ability to read SOPs are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate compounding equipment including kettles, pumps, agitators, hoists and scales.
• Familiarity with 5S processes and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Strong English communication and basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, fractions).
• Proven ability to read, understand and follow written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Process batches within specifications to meet targets and optimize cycle time and schedules.
• Dismantle, clean, sanitize, and assemble processing equipment per SOPs and GMP.
• Compound batches including aqueous-based, O/W, W/O, and anhydrous formulations per SOPs.
• Perform pre-weigh tasks, verify pre-weighed materials, and safely dispense materials.
• Conduct calibration checks on scales.
• Collect representative samples from product batches.
• Clean and sanitize batching kettles and equipment per SOPs.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE; report injuries or accidents.
• Complete GMP documentation including batch records and related docs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the compounding area and storage of components.
