Position: Compositor, Sr.

Location: Toronto, ON (On-Site)

Pay Range: $44.67- $67.01 CAD Hourly

Position Summary

Company 3 has openings for a project hire Sr. Compositor to work within our VFX department. The ideal candidate is dependable, a team player, flexible with fast turnarounds, and works closely with the Compositing Supervisor and VFX Producer to meet high creative and technical standards.

Main Duties

• Handle challenging shots, seamlessly integrating various layers or elements of live-action shots.
• Manage entire shot workflows including roto, tracking, paint, animation, and element creation.
• Perform matte extractions from blue/green screen photography.
• Ensure attention to detail, color accuracy, and lighting consistency.
• Composite Multi-Pass CG elements to create photorealistic shots.
• Maintain clean and organized scripts.
• Communicate progress effectively to the team.

What You Bring

• Extensive experience as a compositor in episodic, commercial, or feature VFX.
• Proficiency in Nuke and Photoshop at a senior level.
• Knowledge of 3D particle systems, Fusion, and AfterEffects is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, accept critique, and work under pressure.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Experience with Shotgun software is preferred.
