Explore your next role:

As a key member of the Composite Department, the Structures Technician is responsible to ensure that the project maintains the standard of airworthiness and his/her crew is working in a safe manner. Is also responsible to liaison with the Supervisor / Lead Hand daily with updates on assigned tasks. Carry out proscribed maintenance tasks as directed by the Supervisor / Lead Hand. On occasion communicate with Aerotech management staff on project activities.

  • Plan volume of assigned work on project to meet milestone expectations defined by the Project Supervisor.
  • Review assigned work, and identify possible pinch points, and resources required outside of the abilities of Aerotech with the assistance of the Project supervisor, Lead Hand or ACA.
  • Ensure all planned and non-planned work is being performed as the requirement of airworthiness standards.
  • Record, access, and provide planned action for no-planned work.
  • Audit and complete all production/technical records as per Aerotech policies.
  • Troubleshooting deficiencies within the aircraft and providing resolutions within their capabilities.
  • Carry out proscribed maintenance tasks as directed by the Project Supervisor / Lead Hand.
  • Develop mental and physical skills required to facilitate growth within their career.
  • Ensure their personnel task logbook is continuing to be completed as required

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational institution.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in related field is considered an asset.
  • Basic understanding of body preparation process considered an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, drawings and other technical publications.
  • Demonstrated hard worker that can exercise patience, persistence and determination while working on lengthy tasks.
  • Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with high attention to detail.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite. Provide updates to the Project Supervisor / Lead Hand, and ACA / SCA on progress, deficiencies, or changes to the prescribed work.

    Eligibility:

    You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
