Job description

Our Components Rebuilder - Level 1 will train with our trusted Component Rebuilders to safely and effectively diagnose and repair/rebuild all engine and powertrain components in a timely manner while ensuring positive customer relations.

Please note this position will be out of our New Reman Bradford Location

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Participate in safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors supporting Toromont’s Health and Safety policies and best practices
• Repair/rebuild components for our customers in a timely and economical manner
• Remanufacture all engine components produced by Toromont Reman, including but not limited to standard parts, oil pumps, water pumps, cylinder heads, fuel pumps, etc.
• Follow Caterpillar reusability guidelines and Toromont REMAN ISO procedures
• Prepare accurate and timely service reports and documentation
• Ensure customer requirements are met professionally and efficiently

Must-haves for this role:

• Completion of an accredited trade school program or a minimum of 3 years applicable industrial experience
• Minimum 70% score on the Toromont Technician Aptitude test
• Minimum 60-point rating on the Toromont Technician Practical test
• Ability to learn system operations and rebuild techniques
• Customer-centric with strong relationship management, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Self-motivated, energetic team player capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Proficiency with DBS, Excel, and Word; knowledge of CAT SIS or Toromont parts operations is an asset
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
