Compliance Business Partner - Halifax, United Kingdom

Salary: Up to £67,000 (Dependent on Experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Compliance Team at Covéa Insurance as a Compliance Business Partner.

The Compliance Team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization operates within legal, regulatory, and ethical boundaries relevant to its industry.

This role is hybrid, involving a mix of working from home and from our Halifax office.

What will I be doing?
  1. Ensure all new and amended FCA requirements are identified, interpreted, assessed for impact, and communicated accordingly.
  2. Conduct and support 2nd line monitoring to help your business area understand risks or gaps that need addressing.
  3. Undertake and/or coordinate assurance activities to assess compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Coordinate and oversee corporate regulatory initiatives across multiple business areas.
  5. Provide compliance advice on new products, business opportunities, and changes to existing relationships and products.
  6. Coordinate responses to FCA consultations, thematic work, and routine inquiries.
  7. Horizon scan and provide summaries to ensure your business is prepared for regulatory requirements.
  8. Engage with all lines of business, including attending committees, to support regulatory compliance and fair customer outcomes.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience and understanding of the General Insurance industry.
  • Detailed knowledge of FCA regulation.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Significant compliance experience.
  • A strong track record of delivering compliance initiatives within insurance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with management teams.
  • Compliance qualification or equivalent experience.
