Compliance Associate/Officer - Privacy

How does the role impact the organization?

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Privacy, you will assist with the Privacy Compliance Program, support evaluation of data privacy risks, and help develop and implement solutions to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

What will your role be responsible for?

• Manage inquiry requests, incident and breach responses, handling, management, and reporting;
• Conduct privacy risk and impact assessments;
• Support the development of program metrics and reporting for Senior Leadership;
• Assist in creating privacy training materials and ensure employee compliance;
• Maintain the Privacy Office website;
• Collaborate with business units to identify privacy risk solutions and communicate the firm’s privacy stance;
• Create privacy guidelines and presentations to raise awareness;
• Document legal and regulatory privacy requirements;
• Review and improve privacy policies and procedures;
• Prepare presentation materials for executive and department meetings;
• Develop and revise processes for Privacy Office operations.

What do we expect from you?

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of compliance experience, especially in Privacy Compliance;
• Bachelor’s or paralegal degree (asset);
• Legal or privacy certifications (asset);
• Experience with privacy impact assessments and breach handling;
• Experience developing policies and reports.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
• Customer service and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, handle sensitive information, work independently and in teams, and be detail-oriented.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Completed CIPP certification.
