Job summary

Dayforce, a global HCM leader headquartered in Toronto, seeks a Competitive Intelligence Marketing Manager to shape the CI strategy and align Dayforce’s product, positioning, and go-to-market globally. You will work with Sales, Product, Technology, Marketing and other functions to deliver actionable competitive insights that drive growth.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in CI/market research in HCM or enterprise tech, with strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills,

  • Five or more years of experience in competitive intelligence, market analysis, or market research related to HCM or other enterprise technology.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to lead initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Passion for HR technology and future of work trends, including AI, skills and talent management, workforce management, and employee experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, prioritize, and deliver high-value initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information into compelling business insights.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset driven by stakeholder feedback.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in competitive intelligence and ethical sourcing.

Responsibilities

  • Study the HCM market and monitor competitor activities globally and by region across product, pricing, GTM, and customer experience.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve competitive intelligence assets.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party resources to maximize relevance and impact of CI research.
  • Participate in market sensing activities to support understanding of market trends across Dayforce.
  • Support Product Marketing and Revenue Enablement with positioning, messaging, training, and enablement assets.
  • Contribute to high-profile initiatives through tailored CI research and strategic guidance.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking a collaborative and outcomes-oriented professional to lead our competitive intelligence strategy on a global scale.

In this role, you will report to the Vice President, Market Positioning and Strategy and contribute to our efforts to optimize Dayforce’s product, positioning, and go-to-market alignment with the evolving HCM market. You will work closely with colleagues across Sales, Product and Technology, Marketing and Communications, and other business functions to deliver meaningful competitive insights that support business growth and strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Get To Do
  • Study the HCM technology market and monitor key competitor activities and updates globally and by region related to product, pricing, go-to-market strategy, and customer experience.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve Dayforce’s competitive intelligence assets.
  • Identify and collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party resources to maximize the relevance and impact of competitive intelligence research.
  • Participate in broader market sensing activities and deliverables to support a strong understanding of market trends across Dayforce.
  • Support the Product Marketing and Revenue Enablement teams by developing positioning, messaging, training, and other enablement assets.
  • Support high-profile initiatives through tailored competitive intelligence research and strategic guidance.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations for Sales, Marketing, Product, and Corporate Strategy teams.
