Cochrane Temiskaming Resource Centre (CTRC) invites applications for two Part-Time Assistant Supported Group Living Counsellors in Porcupine. You will support individuals with developmental disabilities, assist with daily living, leisure, and interpersonal activities, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.

Wage starts at $28.14–$28.65/hour with HOOPP pension, extended health, life, dental and more. Flexible shifts and overtime apply; travel and licensing may be required.

Competenze

• Preferably a diploma or degree in the human services field or a Personal Support Worker Certificate.
• One year’s experience in this area will be considered.
• Possession of an updated Standard First Aid certificate (including Heart Saver CPR) and CPI, or willingness to obtain such is necessary.

Mansioni

#26-72 – Two (2) Part Time Assistant SupportedGroup Living Counsellors

Although Counsellors are hired for Supported Group Living Services andnot any specific site, this vacancy is for Earl and Dixon Residences. An Assistant SupportedGroup Living Counsellor may request a transfer by submitting a Request forTransfer from Human Resources by the closing date of the advertisement

The CochraneTemiskaming Resource Centre (CTRC) is seeking two Assistant Supported Group Living Counsellors to join its team in Porcupine. CTRC is a regionaldevelopmental services provider offering programs across the Districts ofTemiskaming and Cochrane including coastal communities along James and HudsonBay. The successful candidate will work in a community supported group livinghome offering support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Supportincludes providing assistance with activities of daily living, leisure,recreational, interpersonal interactions, medical and personal care. Assistant SupportedGroup Living Counsellors work collaboratively with different team membersincluding Supported Group Living Counsellors, a Registered Nurse, Psychologicaland Speech Services Staff, and Client Support Workers. Assistant SupportedGroup Living Counsellors report to a Supported Group Living Supervisor.

• Part Time employees areoffered a defined pension plan with the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan(HOOPP) and are eligible from hire date to join the plan.

• Flexibleshifts (e.g., 2-4-6-8-10-12 hours during a 24-hour period).

Part-Time Employees may be scheduled up to 56hours every 2 weeks and may accept extra shifts offered. Shift premiums (extra$0.60/hr. for evening shifts, extra $0.65/hr. for night shifts and an extra$0.32/hr. on Saturdays and Sundays with evening and night shift premiums stillpaid.) Overtime paid after daily limit of 12 hours. Personal Emergency Days asper ESA and Collective Agreement.

• Those with a sincere interest and ability to work with individuals whohave a developmental disability will be considered.
• Preferably a diploma ordegree in the human services field or a Personal Support Worker Certificate.
• Peoplewith a keen interest and one year’s experience in this area will also beconsidered.
• Dependability, maturity and a responsible attitude are necessary.
• Possession of an updated Standard First Aid certificate (including Heart SaverCPR) and CPI, or willingness to obtain such is also necessary.
• A valid Class Gdriver’s license is essential.
• Bilingualism is an asset.

Wage: $28.14 - 28.65 per hour
