Manager, Compensation & Benefits
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Manager, Compensation & Benefits to lead our global Total Rewards Centre of Excellence. Management of the design, implementation, and management of compensation, benefits, recognition, wellbeing, employee allowances, and non-occupational medical leave programs. This role plays a critical part in driving our people strategy by ensuring programs are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with a strong focus on employee experience and wellbeing
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two direct reports, setting clear goals and ensuring high performance.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately and support professional growth through ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
Compensation
• Design, implement, and manage salary structures, job evaluations, and incentive plans.
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
• Manage annual compensation cycles including merit reviews, bonus administration, and pay-for-performance strategies.
• Align compensation strategies across multiple geographies, adhering to local laws.
• Partner with HRBP to ensure fair and effective compensation decisions.
Benefits & Wellbeing
• Manage global medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and other employee benefit programs.
• Manage vendors and brokers to evaluate and enhance offerings and ensuring cost control.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable benefit laws and regulations.
• Lead the creation of a wellbeing strategy, including mental, physical, financial, and emotional wellness programs.
• Manage the creation of campaigns, initiatives, and educational opportunities to promote employee health and engagement.
Recognition & Rewards
• Develop and manage employee recognition programs to support a culture of appreciation.
• Create scalable frameworks for service awards, retirement, and peer-to-peer recognition.
Leaves of Absence (Non- Occupational)
• Manage policies and processes for personal, parental, medical, and other non-occupational leaves.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
• Manage the employee experience through the leave and return-to-work process in collaboration with HR and third-party administrators.
Employee Allowance & Perks
• Design and manage programs such as paid time off, vehicle, cell phone, and employee clothing allowances.
• Monitor usage and impact, and recommend improvements based on employee feedback and business needs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or certification preferred: CCP, CEBS, CHRL.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in total rewards or HR with a focus on global compensation, benefits, and/or wellbeing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience effectively managing direct reports with a proven track record of team development.
• Upbringing in CAD, U.S. and International programs
• Proven ability to analyze data, build business cases, and make strategic recommendations.
• Experience developing and implementing programs and leading change management
• Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with HRIS systems (UKG preferred) and compensation/benefits tools.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
