Job Description:

  • This is an 18-month contract opportunity.

The Business Development Sales Compensation team is responsible for administering the Business Development Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) within Group Benefits.

Reporting to the Manager of Sales Compensation, the Compensation Analyst will join a team responsible for calculating all incentive payments, onboarding new employees to the program, and supporting the sales team with inquiries, reporting, and tools.

The team collaborates with HR, Finance, and GB Operations to gather necessary information to complete the end-to-end incentive payment process.

What will you do

  • Accurately and precisely calculate monthly and quarterly sales incentive bonuses.
  • Calculate Sales Recognition Conference points quarterly to identify who qualifies for the Conference.
  • Assist the Manager of Sales Compensation with quarterly earnings reporting.
  • Onboard new sales staff with 1:1 training on their sales incentive plan, ensuring they understand the plan details, administration, and reporting.
  • Support ongoing resolution of calculation-related inquiries and exceptions from the sales teams.
  • Maintain and improve process documentation.
  • Participate in process improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain tools that support sales staff.
  • Attend and present at sales staff training sessions, including regional team meetings and new hire orientations at AE Academy.
  • Support planning for the Sales Recognition Conference as needed.
  • Partner with HR and Finance on quarterly and annual reporting as requested.
  • Assist the Manager of Sales Compensation with modeling potential plan changes.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer-focused relationships.
  • Proactive planning and work management skills, including problem-solving and process improvements.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and adapt to shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Flexibility with working hours to meet deadlines.

The salary range for the primary location is $54,000 to $91,000, depending on experience and location. In addition to base pay, eligible employees participate in various incentive plans, which are discretionary and based on individual and company performance. Sales-focused roles may have sales incentive plans based on individual or group results.
