Job summary

The O'Neill Centre Long Term Care in Toronto, ON is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical leadership, oversee nursing care delivery, and coordinate assessments and care planning for residents. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure dignity, choice, and quality of life, while adhering to FLTCA, CNO standards, and PHIPA policies.

The RN will mentor care staff, maintain medication safety, and contribute to continued improvement in resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN with CNO registration in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Ability to follow FLTCA and Ontario regulations and Home policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and update care plans with residents and the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete clinical documentation and assessments (including interRAI) and support care conferences.
• Coordinate with physicians, pharmacy, and families to ensure timely follow-up and continuity of care.
• Maintain adherence to CNO standards, documentation accuracy, and safe delegation.
• Protect patient privacy per PHIPA and Home policies; ensure safe medication handling.
• Lead and supervise PSWs and RPNs to maintain safe, respectful care and consistent standards.
