Job summary

Hamilton Continuing Care is seeking a Permanent Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. This role supports residents with daily living activities, personal care and companionship, working within a multidisciplinary team on the 3rd Floor.

Applicants must hold a PSW Certificate (600 hours or more) or have equivalent PSW/PCA experience. Training will be provided; inclusive workplace with accommodations available per AODA policies.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid PSW Certificate that is 600 hours or greater or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrate caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members.
• Understand the physical, emotional, and mental demands of the PSW role.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centred personal care and daily living assistance.
• Support with personal hygiene, companionship, and activities; report changes to nurse.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advocate for resident participation in care decisions.
