Qualifications

• High school diploma and a Personal Support Worker certificate.
• Valid CPR certificate and First Aid certificate.
• Demonstrated interest in working with elderly with patience and compassion.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night) and weekends.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Observe and respect Residents' Rights, dignity and privacy.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Monitor changes in residents' emotional, social, behavioral and physical patterns.
• Report changes to registered staff promptly.
• Interact with residents, listen and communicate effectively.
• Provide oral and dental care and maintain oral tissue integrity.
• Maintain skin, nail and foot care for comfort and mobility.
• Assist with feeding and texture-modified diets as needed.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual support.
• Follow infection control policies and universal precautions.
• Identify emergencies and implement measures as required.
• Collect and monitor resident information.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
