Job summary

Franklin-Gardens-Residence is seeking a Housekeeping & Laundry Aide to maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation and laundry services, reporting to the Environmental Services Manager. The role involves engaging residents in daily activities and ensuring privacy and dignity at all times.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, washing and delivering linens, sorting laundry, and supporting cross-training for Dietary Aide duties. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of washer and dryer operations.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work from the heart and make others smile.
• Ability to provide positive social interactions and show empathy.
• Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check and TB testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes rooms and furnishings in assigned areas.
• Handles laundry: sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens.
• Maintains privacy and dignity of residents during duties.
• Notifies manager when supplies are low or equipment malfunctions.
• May cross-train to perform Dietary Aide activities as needed.
• Adheres to infection control and safety policies.
