Job summary

Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority is seeking a Home Care Attendant for Selkirk Community Health. The role provides personal and supportive care under the Home Care Resource Coordinator, helping clients stay independent at home.

Part-time evenings, 0.8 FTE. Requires Health Care Aide certification, valid driver’s license, and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team. Comprehensive checks required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Health Care Aide Course from an accredited college.
• Previous experience with elderly or infirm is preferred.
• Ability to provide safe, effective personal care respecting privacy and comfort.
• Strong communication with clients, families, and coworkers; both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a health care team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
• Candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts.
• Criminal record checks and vulnerable sector checks required before commencing employment.
