Job summary

Extendicare is seeking a Health Care Aide in Winnipeg, MB, to provide personal care and assist residents with daily living activities as part of a supportive team. The role works under the direction of the Director of Health & Wellness and adheres to Extendicare's standards and procedures.

The successful candidate will have completed a Health Care Aide program, strong communication skills, and demonstrated care for seniors.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-focused approach.
• Experience providing personal care duties.
• Ability to lift or transfer clients safely when required.
• BLS and First Aid certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the plan of care as directed by supervisor.
• Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Support safe and clean environment and equipment.
